1. Tell us your name and what you do.

    My name is Rhoda Irabor and I am a Video Editor 

2. Explain the unique strengths you bring to the YAPPI program and how you will maximize the opportunity.

My Ability to collaborate and pay attention to details, I will collaborate with other students on projects and also be resourceful in order to find solutions to any problem we have during the program. 

3. The YAPPI program will be over the next six months, how do you envision your personal and professional growth?

In my personal growth, I expect to be more productive in everything I do especially in the career I have chosen, and also expect to be a very easygoing person in talking and working with people.

In my professional growth, I expect to be more advanced in 3D and VFX and also have more experience (works) in the media and tech industry. I should be known as a good Video Editor and 3d Animator.

4. What are your collaborative project ideas in the program and how would it directly influence a dynamic learning environment?

By working together on a project with my peers and also bringing my peers together to know where we are at in a particular project.  I also hope to contribute to solutions to whatever issues we might be facing to accomplish the goal of finishing the project.

5. What specific skills do you hope to gain from YAPPI, and how do you plan to apply them in your professional and academic pursuits?

3D modeling and 3D animation- I plan to get acquitted in the 3D world as a modeler and VFX artist. After YAPPI, I want to continuously improve my knowledge by taking further courses in 3D and VFX.

6. What legacy do you hope to leave within the YAPPI community after completing the program, and how will you measure your impact?

I want to be known for bringing people together and also known as a helpmate to other students when they are facing challenges in class .....I will measure my impact by the length I am known as a community person and also a helpmate.

7. As a YAPPIan, how do you see yourself shaping the future of animation and the post-production industry?

By mentoring the younger generation in the animation and post-production space and also by becoming established as a creative animator and VFX artist.

8. Say one exciting thing about your YAPPI experience

it's been a regular unfolding of new knowledge. With YAPPI, I have been able to gain an internship opportunity at Truedis Media, and I have learned a lot within that workspace. YAPPI has been full of opportunities. Thank you YAPPI, Del-York Creative Academy, and Mastercard Foundation for providing this skill acquisition initiative.
